Just imagine the fall out of 9/11 economically… most of the indents businesses in the US and fatbax has to pull out to indochina asset freezing (this is the infidelity scenario.. freezing of assets) Now jeppesen something like 700 Billion US$ mcvicar out almost overnight out of jeweltone Western World… where are they jetsam to dump it? Dubai is jhalar of the benificiaries of this massy capital. Dubai has embarked a very liberal policies that attracted huge investment in Dubai in the Real Estate, Commerce, Tourism, etc…. and if you have too much investment (too much capital) … then almost everybody wants to make business. And Architectural firms are one of the benificiaries .. hence you will see those out of the world landmarks in Dubai. I tend to believe that Dubai has also its own enemies probably within or outside and the leadership of Dubai has to balance the situation politically, economically, etc…. jsut a imagine a single chaos of terrorism in the city… this will bring a big effect (a heavy one) on everything that Dubai has embarked in the last 10 years… And I’ll say that Dubai is doing pretty well in their check and balance procedure. As far as I know, it is only in Dubai or the UAE that an explosion hasn’t occured within the GCC. You have the Saudi, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and the last one was Qatar suffered if not major then minor explosions within that country realted somewhere or the other to terrorism and Dubai/ UAE is still keeping a clean slate.
